Do you look at the actual code, or only at strategy?

Both. For technical questions I read the code and the infrastructure. For growth questions I read the numbers.

Do I need to be technical to follow the advice?

No. I write everything in plain language and put the technical detail in an appendix for whoever needs it.

Can you assess a product before I invest in it or buy it?

Yes. That's technical due diligence: an honest assessment before you commit.

Do you sign NDAs?

Yes, before any work that involves sensitive information.

Can you also do the work you recommend?

Yes, if you'd like. You can just as well hand the recommendation to your own team or to someone else.
